What's In The Box

If you went for the ice bath & chiller combo, you should have received two boxes.

  1. Ice bath box: PVC ice bath tub, PVC ice bath lid, manual pump & pump attachment, travel bag and a repair kit containing: puncture repair strips, several washers, plumbing tape and special tool for tightening the air inlet valve.
  2. Chiller box: Chiller unit, x2 insulated pipes, outer filter unit & outer filter pipe and a water discharge pipe.

part 1

Pump It Up

Connect the pump to the pump attachment (screw on firmly). Unpack the ice bath and lid and lay them flat on the floor.

Remove the grey cap from the air inlet on both the bath and the lid, ensure the pressure spring in the middle of the air inlet value is up, this can be checked by wiggling/turning the spring (if this is locked down air will release from the bath once the pump is removed later on).

Attach the pump attachment to the air inlet value on the lid and firmly twist (if incorrect the attachment will fall out). Pump up the lid to 5-7 PSI, remove pump attachment and replace grey cap. Repeat this process for the bath.

Part 2

Chiller Setup

Connect the (blue) outer filter to the chiller unit to the bottom connector on the chiller  (ensure there is a washer inside connector on chiller). Both the outer filter and nut on the inlet hole will rotate, do this until the outer filter can firmly sit in a horizontal position in the chiller unit.

Connect one of the grey insulated pipes to the other side of the outer filter (sure both ends of the insulated pipe have washers inside), connect the other end to the lower connector on the bath.

Connect the other insulated pipe to the upper connector on the chiller and upper connector on the bath (ensuring washers are inside the insulated pipe).

When connecting the insulated pipes, the brass end of the pipes rotate so you can screw on to the connectors, there is no need to rotate the pipe itself. The insulated pipes should be attached firmly by hand, there is no need for any tools.

part 3

Filling & Emptying Your Bath

Note: Select a place for your ice bath that has easy access to water, a power source (for the chiller), and ideally some drainage (for when you want to empty the tub).

When ready, fill your tub until the water sits just over upper water inlet hole, this is the ideal level. The chiller may be turned on as  soon as water levels are above the lower water outlet hole on the tub.

When emptying your tub, first turn off the chiller, then remove the insulated pipe from the upper water inlet hole on the tub replacing with a cap to close off. Place the end of the insulated pipe in a suitable drainage area and turn on the chiller, this will pump water out of the tub down to the red 'water out' level. The balance of water thereafter will need to be manually removed.

  • Disclaimer: Do not attempt to move the tub when water is inside, this may damage the tub and should be done so at the owners own risk.
